Expert claims interest rates may fall to 0%

Founding member of the Monetary Policy Committee Charles Goodhart has suggested that interest rates could be cut to 0%.
Mr Goodhart told Channel 4’s Dispatches programme that “interest rates will go down… by how fast nobody knows. They could go to zero.”

The data, known as the TDX Group Debt Index, indicates that conditions for creditors to collect debts such as secured loans has worsened.
The index shows that the current economic climate puts creditors in the worst position since 2002.
