Bankers say sorry
The former heads of high street banks HBOS and RBS formerly apologised in front of the Treasury Select Committee yesterday.
Lord Stevenson and Andy Hornby, of HBOS, and Tom McKillop and Sir Fred Goodwin of RBS, were put under severe pressure for answers as to how the banking crisis was allowed to happen, whilst facing criticism for the continuing bonus culture within their banks.
The banking bosses stand accused of having a hand in the credit crisis, which has led to difficulty for consumers in taking out mortgages and secured loans.
